I'm coming back. At least for today.
Things have been going well on the home front. The boys are all in school full-time. An adorable private school located just down the street from my husband's job. The girl goes to Pre-K 3 days a week, Tuesday through Thursday, 9-3. I use this time for laundry and some cleaning....and, let's be Audrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-87644391340913120752013-07-29T12:43:00.002-05:002013-07-29T12:43:16.647-05:00Weight WatchersI have decided to join Weight Watchers again! And by "decided" I mean, I did it. I joined up. Paid for three months which will take me to my 34th birthday in October. YAY! I am actually very excited. I had been going by an 8/16 hour fasting routine...eat for 8 hours only a day, then fast for 16 hours straight. It was actually awesome. So, I think I set out to start writing again and I was really excited to sit down at the computer this morning...then I got distracted by reading up on some blogs I had stopped following and now I am completely confused. I thought I knew what I wanted to do, but not I am all overwhelmed with new thoughts swirling based on what I have seen other people doing...
But I am not Audrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-16452659795521579312013-05-30T07:35:00.001-05:002013-05-30T07:35:09.343-05:00Random thoughts from my hiding spotThis morning I decided I was going to stay a step ahead of the kids. Maybe...just MAYBE...we could have a morning of no fighting? I often wash and slice a pound of strawberries before anyone realizes they are hungry, then place them on a table near the tv watching/game playing. This buys me some time as they figure out exactly what they want to eat for breakfast, right? I've been gone. Now I'm back. No excuses, that is just the way it is. :)
So, today is Sunday. For those who are friends with me on Facebook, and/or part of Baby Boot Camp you know we had a few weeks of challenges presented by our fearless leader, Kira. For those who aren't, here are some more details!
One Saturday it was push-ups. The Audrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-55546752684612360312012-12-17T09:39:00.001-06:002012-12-17T09:40:03.703-06:00New perspective
I'm not exactly a Pro at the photo shopping, but you get the idea, right? The tragedy in CT rocked my world. I have no idea how to put it into words, but I will try. Or maybe I won't. Truly, I just can't care so much about my weight. It makes me grumpy to be hungry. I am not a happy person when I am tracking my food and concentrating so hard on every littleAudrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-24569331863931303342012-12-10T08:05:00.004-06:002012-12-10T08:05:58.180-06:00One week down!Good morning!!
What a great week. Seriously. We got our Christmas tree up (earlier than ever before!) and lights all over the house (indoors mostly, but also some outside)...so, the spirit of the season has arrived. I had my monthly "9 and Under" luncheon this past Saturday which went great in and of itself, but also leaves me at home for a Saturday night (rather than Audrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-74184440066866639942012-12-01T10:17:00.004-06:002012-12-01T10:17:43.761-06:00And so it begins...again...Good morning!! Let the games BEGIN!
I weighed in this morning, and I'm just going to go on record as saying I will only accept 40 pounds lost over the next 20 weeks. Ugh.
I am going to have a quick pity party. Or something like that.
I worked SO hard and went SO far! I had so many people supporting me in various ways, I took up running and honestly feel inAudrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-31820699728867039522012-11-30T08:36:00.002-06:002012-11-30T08:36:16.085-06:00So...40 pounds in 20 weeks?Good morning!!
In all honesty (regarding the title of this post), I would be happy and content with 30 pounds gone. However, in keeping with my blog address...I just thought it would be cute.
SO, I'M BACK! I am back to this. It worked the first time. Surely it can work again! Having you hold me accountable, holding MYSELF accountable by typing things out. Yesterday it occurred to me that it was around May, 2011, I had started running with the Couch to 5K program. Guess what? It was May 11! Exactly one year ago today, I posted the following:

Enough with all of the eating and the lazing around. ENOUGH! Enough of replacing 500 calories burned with 1,000 extra calories eaten! Enough with eating the crap that doesn't fill me up. I am going to focus this month. I am going to re-read my blog when I need some inspiration. Audrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-34064288674374033242012-04-23T09:10:00.000-05:002012-04-23T09:10:55.964-05:00Final Recap - Blue Ridge MarathonFrom my notebook, Mile 20: "Anyone can run 20 miles. Kristy and I ran a 10K together last September. It was my first 10K and, I believe, her first as well, but she had already done one half Audrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-32826738134010993342012-04-22T17:27:00.000-05:002012-04-22T17:27:23.287-05:00Blue Ridge Marathon..."personality part"Mile 7 was over and done with. As was the first hill. I had made it! I was feeling pretty good! Some tightness after all the walking, but I stretched out a little bit and began the jog downhill. At this point I found myself alongside a man named Rich. Rich told me about being diagnosed with cancer at age 7! He had been cancer free for Audrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-40567083472160873362012-04-22T08:24:00.000-05:002012-04-22T08:24:47.872-05:00Blue Ridge Marathon Recap, Miles 1-7-ishHoly Moly. How are you feeling today, you ask? Well, sore. And tight. And walking a little bit like a 9 months pregnant woman? Hahaha.
The marathon was amazing. It was just flat out TOUGH. And beautiful, and thought-provoking, and inspiring, and sometimes so hard I wanted to die, but sometimes so awesome I cried! Wow. Just emotionally? Mentally? Whatever. Here's the deal...
In 5 days, for those who may have missed it, I will be running/walking/jogging/hopefully finishing my very first full marathon. Not only that, it's the Blue Ridge Marathon which promises to be "America's Toughest Road Marathon"...so that's awesome.
If you missed that news or are new here, Audrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-9329412089475946422012-04-10T07:49:00.000-05:002012-04-10T07:49:18.761-05:00Charlottesville Half MarathonGood morning!
Well, I should have written this on Saturday or Sunday, but the days flew by and now it's Tuesday and I truly hope I can remember all I thought I wanted to say about this race! Haha.
Friday night I worked my usual hostessing shift at Fellini's. Since we are an Italian restaurant we were jam-packed with people carbing up for the Marathon! It was really fun to see Audrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-41403407973344096162012-03-29T06:55:00.000-05:002012-03-29T06:55:43.467-05:00Good morning! Not really, actually. It's just been a regular morning. Ha! However, I just remembered that my car is fixed!! It starts and goes forward and backward! Hooooooray!
We shall see where this car will be taking us, but you can bet it will be taking us somewhere. First and foremost we will be heading to Bible study this morning at 9. That's a great Audrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-28233634677981345572012-03-23T07:53:00.000-05:002012-03-23T07:53:26.762-05:00My life these daysI had a couple of nice runs this week! I really, really, really want to get a double digit run in at some point, but WHEN?! When???? Ugh. Tuesday I got in a little more than 4 miles in my spiffy new shoes and felt great about it. Wednesday I ran almost 8.5 miles in my Kinvara's and felt the soreness, but still was really happy about the run. Yesterday I took a Audrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-91346313338133111772012-03-20T07:34:00.000-05:002012-03-20T07:34:50.012-05:00Freakin' OutWell, good morning!!
Strep throat has cleared up. Finally! It was a rough bout this time...ugh. It took 4 full days of medicine before I realized I was going to feel better one day! Have you ever been so sick you forget what feeling good feels like and then you feel good and realize how awful you were feeling? Yeah, that totally happened.
Our DC Audrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-65871981106611164812012-03-16T07:38:00.000-05:002012-03-16T07:38:07.956-05:00Oh sickness.I hate strep throat. I HATE IT! When I was younger, I was highly susceptible. I would even joke that someone saying the word "strep" around me would result in my having it....it totally did at least once that I can recall. Ridiculous. When I had kids and actually stopped drinking as much and started taking care of myself, I didn't get it...well, ever. Until Audrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-27304355525321539272012-03-07T13:01:00.000-06:002012-03-07T13:01:15.120-06:00FrustrationsSurely I'm not the only one who feels like every 3 steps forward results in 3 1/2 back? SIGH.
I'm loving this 24-day challenge! The 7 days away from Facebook and blogging were fine. No big deal, really. I ended up getting on Facebook accidentally (I am automatically signed in on the Kindle Fire and the internet pulled it up when I was trying to do a google search!)Audrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-57983120754827291372012-02-27T12:24:00.000-06:002012-02-27T12:24:13.989-06:00Lil' bit of catch up and a "good-bye"!Not so much a "good bye", but a "see ya later"! My weekly challenge is NO Facebook and NO blogging. Whew. Toughie. I'm a tough girl, though!
So, I actually think this is the perfect week for the no fb and blog challenge. Number one, I have found a new book series that I am LOVING and it is totally consuming my "spare" time, and it's probably best that I stick to Audrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-83324145152241806662012-02-24T15:20:00.000-06:002012-02-24T15:20:40.390-06:00Coming on back...This is just a very quicky post to let you know I'm coming back and I have some new things to tell! Discuss, whatever.
I feel like I need to do a complete overhaul of the blog theme and pictures and all, so look forward to that. :)
I hope you have all been doing well, and I hope I have some readers return when the writing comes back to me!

I want to apologize for dropping out with the daily recaps. I will be honest here and let you know I am calling Week 4 a FAIL. I'm sorry. It seemed so easy. I am usually the type of person who jumps on board with any sort of deep cleaning and/or rearranging project! This was right up my alley!
The problem was not in the tasks themselves...this week wasAudrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651385356154287692.post-82881368791920949562012-01-17T15:28:00.000-06:002012-01-17T15:28:16.494-06:00Day 2 of Cleaning Challenges...Today I chose the task of rearranging a room. As I mentioned before, I rearrange on a very regular basis. It's, like, my most favorite task. Um, except for today. My heart wasn't in it. I just plain didn't want to!! The rearranging was going to involve cleaning. BOOOO Cleaning! Oh wait. This is a "cleaning challenge"? Ugh. Audrey J.http://www.blogger.com/profile/08924411648500108452noreply@blogger.com1
